Phyllis:
I understand completely about posting addresses. I don't remember where I picked it up, but it's saved on my home computer. When I get home I'll try to copy it onto a post here. If it's too late, it may be in the morning, but certainly no later. Now, sometimes we are limited to the amount of words in a given post, so if that happens I'll have to post it on multiple posts. Be patient a while longer. I believe that this is definitely something that, that mechanic of yours should read if he's going to help you out. ![]() |

I just re-read the data I have and what I have actually copied is eight pages and it did not copy completely. Here is the title:
"BATTERY DRAIN DIAGNOSIS—SERVICE TIPS TSB 05-22-9 FORD: LINCOLN: 2002-2005 Thunderbird 2000-2006 LS " I will try to find more complete info, but certainly any dealer has access to this on their computer System. The TSB numnber is the key though. It does say: "NOTE: The information in Technical Service Bulletins is intended for use by trained, professional technicians with the knowledge, tools, and equipment to do the job properly and safely. It informs these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in proper vehicle service. The procedures should not be performed by “do-it-yourselfers”. Do not assume that a condition described affects your car or truck. Contact a Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury dealership to determine whether the Bulletin applies to your vehicle. Warranty Policy and Extended Service Plan documentation determine Warranty and/or Extended Service Plan coverage unless stated otherwise in the TSB article. The information in this Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) was current at the time of printing. Ford Motor Company reserves the right to supercede this information with updates. The most recent information is available through Ford Motor Company’s on-line technical resources." TSB for 2005 is 05-22-9 which is specific a battery drain - for 2003 it's TSB 03-15-9 which relates to climate controls - for 2002 it's TSB02-9-5 Last edited by George : 03-26-2008 at 07:47 AM. |

That's great George. With that TBS number the mechanic will be able to read the whole bulletin. Thank you so much. That might be the key. Will let you know.
