There were only six cars made like yours!

Are you the original owner? It appears this was built for the Canadian market and as such would not have come with the supplimental parking lamps.

By the way, both the painted shift knob and steering wheel top are made of wood and both of those make up the black accent interior option (about $300 US extra).

Mark,

You don't have the Deluxe model you have the Premium (better). The Deluxe has painted wheels instead of chrome, like yours. Your 2002 triple black with the optional black accent (painted shift knob & steering wheel top) was the most popular configuration for any year! There were 4,699 made like yours.

David,

1FAHP63A64Y108500
Order Date: 2/11/2004
Date Built: 3/12/2004 Came off the line about 2:00pm EST
At Dealer: 3/23/2004
Sold Date: 5/28/2004

You car came off the line about 2pm EST on Friday 3/12/2004

They finished 47 cars on that day so, with about an hour left before the end of the shift, they finished about six after yours and 40 before.
Soooo... 8,489 + 40 , yours was about the 8,529th 2004 built out of 12,757 that year.

My MSG

Quickdraw,
I finally wrote down the vin # so that I could make the request.
Vin# 1FAHP60A23Y101899.
Thanks, in advance, for the info.
Interestingly, my Bird is in the shop for another parking brake boot replacement. Todd at Ford of Bellevue had to order the boot so I'll have to take it back next week to have it installed. I don't understand how it is breaking. I don't think you can pull it out of the console just by setting the parking brake.
Todd says that he has never seen this before! Of course, he replaced mine last spring.

Your Grey/Grey HT/Black Accent Premium is the most popular configuration for 2003 and is one of 1,421.

I don't use the parking brake on the Tbird but I have a 2002 Lincoln LS that has the same boot and I too have had one replaced. The front clip that holds the boot in is a poor design & breaks easily. I think it was redesigned in 2003-2004 but maybe the first time they replaced yours they got some older stock.

Quickdraw,
Thanks for that. I'll ask Todd about the newer spring/design. I don't want to be the one who is using up the supply of the old design. If it breaks again maybe I should take it to a L/M dealer.
We need parking brakes here in Western Washington due to all of the hills.
Whoops...it's raining again.
