I believe Chromed wheels are on Premium models and painted aluminum are on DeLuxe models....At least that was true in 2002

You are correct... the deluxe for all years had the painted wheels. Canadian cars did not have chrome wheels for 2002 but I believe they had them for 2003, 2004 & 2005. Up until today I thought Canadian cars had painted wheels all four years but I need to check with Dot, the *********, on this. Shes on the road for another couple of days but will check with her Sunday.

And Machman, I don't really need the full VIN, just the year and last five numeric digits.

Our car only has 21,000+ miles on it.

It has developed the leaking oil tube and valve cover gaskets that are mentioned on another thread here. I'm 9 days out of warranty and will plead with the Ford Dealer here to cut me some slack, luckily - I know the Dealer pretty well from years back...
