keyless entry remote?

i have a 88 tbird lx with the keyless entry pad in the doors. i want a key fob like the older lincolns came with, 4 button lock unlock trunk and panic... but dont really care about the panic. is it possible to take a remote system from a early 90's lincoln and fit it to my car? or did one of the lincoln or mercury cousins of my car at the time come with remote keyless entry? i looked at aftermarket keyless entry, and the only way they sell kits are with alarms, remote starters, etc.

i just want to have the locks on a remote

any ideas?
