Hard top and soft top Water leak tips

I thought this subject deserved it's own thread in the event someone in the future did a search, for just this issue. The service bulletin is posted here:

Smile Hard Top Leak

I had a leak on the driver side with the hard top in place. I traced it to the rubber gasket that the window seats in at the joint to the hard top. The start of the gasket at the hard top was not properly seated and was rolled over. It was easily "picked" out into position. I then pried it back and squirted in some clear silicone sealant. Pushed it back in position and wiped off any excess sealant This is a very easy fix and as not leaked in 3 years.
