Benclary,
Can't check your VIN until Monday but if your red is a premium, with a red hard top, with the partial red interior I can tell you yours is one of only 556 built like that.

Harry....I have a real dumb question....but please be patient.
What exactly is the difference between the deluxe and the premium? Thanks in advance.

Not a dumb question at all - The deluxe has 21 spoke silver painted wheels and the premium has seven spoke chrome wheels.

I think there is one other difference but it escapes me now... maybe the deluxe doesn't have the traction control? Can anyone else clarify?

Julie,
The Deluxe vs. Premium varys with the year. The 2002 deluxe has painted wheels instead of chrome and no traction control like the premium. For the 2004 deluxe the wheels are still painted instead of chrome and the deluxe also does not have heated seats like the premium.

Its a feature on the Ford internal network accessible by employees.

Harry,

Can you tell me the actual dates for the following:

"Polycon"
Date: 24584 and
27617

It's not a Julian date.

I believe my car was built in August 02, but I'm curious how much earlier 2 parts were "ok'd".

I hear the pornography is pretty incredible on that internal network too. (btw, that's a joke)

Do the Deluxe come with running lights?

I don’t know of any way to decipher those codes… are you sure they are dates? If they are on parts they may be combination codes for a mold or die number, shift, & date… Is Polycon a vendor name?

No, no porn on that network… you wouldn’t believe how many mandatory diversity, sensitivity, and sexual harassment classes everyone in the company must attend. Several times I’ve been blocked from a site during a google search because the site content was “inappropriate.” Still I know of three people who have been fired for “violations” and unlike firings for almost any other reason (attendance, fighting, stealing, etc), these people never come back. The policy is “Zero tolerance” and I can tell you several stories to back that up. At least one of the people I know was fired for failing to immediately delete inappropriate emails someone sent him.

The deluxe had running lights if the dealer had the presence of mind to order this no-cost option.
