leaf springs question
Hi guys, new to the forum. I dont have a Thunderbird but my father in law does and im trying to buy new leaf springs for him and am not sure what to buy. When you need new leaf springs on a 63, do you just need the springs or do i need to purchase more hardware such as bushings or Spring shackle bushings? Any info would be appreciated.
is this all i need here http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...wflag-1#review |

Speaking of spring bushes - has anybody used urethane/nolathane type spring bushes in their T-bird?
And how much difference did it make to the ride/handling. And can you GET such things? |

urethane not a good idea on these birds as it tends to break the mounts. There ride is allot rougher as well. Unless your racing it is really overkill as there are many bushings now that provide a good ride and will last a good long time. I know on my cougars the urethane broke the mounts and i had to manufacture and install new ones because of urethane so i imagine you could run into the dame problem on the tbirds.
