Tire Replacement - OEM or other recommendations?

Shopping for replacements for my OEM Michelin Pilot MXM4's. More or less happy with them but would like feedback on any other tires users have switched to and had great experience with. Handling, wear and noise are my concerns.

I have Continental's on mine now for about 15K miles and they seem to be wearing well. I opted for the R rated instead of V as don't do any real fast driving and the "R's" seem to wear better.

I purchased a set of the Goodyear ResponsEdge radials for my 2002 T-Bird from the Tire Rack. They are oriented more towards performance than the Michelins. The noise level is comparable, but the ride is a little harsher. The slight compromise on the ride is more than made up for in the increased performance, especially in cornering. Moreover, I really like the way the tires look with the Premium Edition chrome wheels.

Thanks for your input. I am looking at the Goodyear ResponseEdge for a replacement. I just may have to flip a coin but am not sure if paying more coin for the Michelins will make me wish I didn't buy the Goodyears? Any other thoughts out there?

I replaced the tires on my 2005 about 6200 miles ago. After researching different tires, I chose Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires and have been happy with the choice. I was looking for tires that would be quiet at highway speeds and would handle well on wet roads and occasional snow. I drive about 20,000 miles a year.
