Suggestions for installing new battery by novice in 02 Bird?

I can't help much except to alert you to make sure you get a vented battery since it is in the trunk.

Yes, don't do it youirself.
It's not in the easiest place to work and for what they charge for a battery with installation, at the local dealers, $115.00 I believe it's well worth it.

I believe there are now after market batteries, but most folks have had better luck with the Ford batteries.
