Gas gauge does not work 96 tbird lx v-6, how to fix it?

I have a 1996 tbird lx v-6 and the gas gauge is pegged all the way to the right/full how do i fix this issue?

If the gauge is reading full all the time. I would try and see if the lead to the sender is grounded somewhere.

Disconnect the wire from the tank unit and see if the needle drops to empty. If it drops after disconnecting the lead the sender is bad. If it doesn't, then there is a problem up stream of the sender. ie wiring, gauge, etc
