86 3.8L problem

I've got an 86 3.8L V6 with a most irritating problem. After driving it for a while, it will start to lose power, hesitate and finally stall out. When I stop the car, it idles very, very roughly, causing the entire car to shake. My dad and I have gone over the engine several times and really are no closer to finding out the problem. The one thing we have done that has seemed to help it a little bit was the replacing of the PCV valve. Other than that, we just don't know enough about the problem to be able to fix it.

Has anyone had this problem or anything similar?
